I am a retired elementary school teacher with a BA in Natural Science from San Jose State University. I taught kindergarten through second grade for sixteen years in Rancho Cordova, CA. My love of children and nature have inspired me to write nonfiction books about animals for kids in order to awaken enthusiasm for nature and to promote literacy and lifelong learning.

  • Layout issues

    The book is decent and has some great facts, although I would I think a couple of them could be fact checked. There was a layout issue when viewing on the iPad where pictures would be only half on the page and the other half of the image would be on the next page. This issue appears to be consistent in other books from this series and it makes it hard to read them, especially when it's the pictures that hold the children's attention.

    This is a wonderful book on spiders, filled with fun facts. The pictures are unique and encourage further reading and exploration. I don't know a child who will not be intrigued by this book.
